This book was perfect for me because it's a collection of brilliantly written articles. It''s great for when you have short periods of time and you are looking for something good to read. The articles are thought provoking and quite witty. My favorite thing about this book is that it feels like the author is having a conversation with you. You don't feel like the author is talking down to the reader or being too verbose - it feels like you coulld be talking to him in a bar. One of my favorite articles is "mourning in America" about the passing of Ronald Reagan. That article brought back so many memories for me. I like how Mr. Morris chose the articles for the book - they are so varied - there's something for everyone! I've all ready recommended this book to several friends & I just downloaded the Best Sniper Ever. I can't wait to read it! I will definitely be a follower of this up & coming author!Product details

Overall this was an enjoyable read and I would recommend reading. It's a collection of articles varying from political events to thoughts on reality shows and everything in between. The writing is witty, thought provoking, and overall entertaining. I think this author's writing style is very refreshing. One thing that stuck out at me (and seemed to be a theme weaved in through out the writing) is this generation has stopped thinking for themselves, stopped asking questions, and that truly needs to change! This author is asking the questions that we all should be. If you are looking for a good read - definitely give it a try. The other thing I like (for those that have super busy lives like me) is that it is broken up in short articles, so you can sit down with your morning coffee and complete an article from start to finish and walk away a little more enlightened. I look forward to reading his other writings.
It's funny, provocative, engaging, and perfectly readable. I hope it goes to print- it's a perfect coffee-table or gift book.

I'm a little biased, as I am a friend of the author, but this is highly recommended for any history fans. You will see Lincoln in a light you didn't previously. Recommended.
As someone that has been a fan of JDM's work for over a decade now this book was the trip down memory lane that I had been missing for so long! His unique, witty and clever perspective on a wide range of socially relevant topics is sure to entertain you while simultaneously making you think about the topic at hand. Anyone interested in learning more about who JDM is and why his writing is so brilliant, why he has been published all over the country and why he has fans from all across the globe should start here. This is an enjoyable look back at pop culture in the first decade of this millennium.
